Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s 2022 Business Licenses Renewal with the State of Oregon

Business License Renewal Paperwork

For anyone who is curious… Lead Safe Mama, LLC just renewed our business license for the year (2022 calendar year). #Woohoo!

While I have been doing this work (as a childhood Lead poisoning prevention activist) since 2007 (and really for the full 16+ years since August of 2005 when my kids were poisoned), this iteration of the work (as an LLC) officially began on January 5, 2018. This means that on January 5, 2022 Lead Safe Mama, LLC officially just had our 4th birthday! [Although I consider our “true” birthday  – for the business to be December 3, 2016 – when I started writing again after Lead Safe America was destroyed!]

I will separately also post the EIN information for Lead Safe Mama, LLC so that is here on the website too. I am mostly doing this (posting this here on the website) for me, so I have it to refer to no matter where I am … because each time I go to look for this information I always have trouble finding it (digging around on backup drives and through e-mails, etc.) – and this way I will be able to easily look it up right here on the website! 🙂

Last year (2021) I added my second eldest son A.J. to the business as a co-owner. This was inspired by “pandemic crisis thinking”  – so that if I got sick and died suddenly he would automatically be able to take over the “operations” of the business and keep the website going for all of you. At 19 years old (and being a full-time college student) he is more of a “silent partner” but I wanted to make sure to have a co-owner “just in case”! 🙂 Other than a minor update to the business description (the addition of the language “content creation” and “consumer goods testing”) – there’s nothing new to our business registration for 2022.

Other EOY Business details

As many businesses are because of the hardships brought on by the pandemic, we are a bit behind on our tax filings (I need to play catch up with 2020 paperwork and now do 2021 too!)

We had actually hired a new bookkeeper last year to help bring everything current, but then a couple of months ago she disappeared (stopped emailing and stopped returning calls and texts!) Please tell me how it is you can pay someone thousands of dollars over the course of a single year and then they just suddenly stop returning your calls?! #Sigh. I’m considering switching to a service that handles thousands of clients (so they cannot randomly ghost me like this!) If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Once I have caught up on everything and once I am 100% current on the Lead Safe Mama, LLC tax filings – I have decided to post those here on the website as well (because why not!? :-))
