Lead Safe Mama’s Favorite Things
I am working on a “Tamara’s Favorite Things” list (a la “Oprah’s Favorite Things”, only better — better because these are safer-choices/non-toxic, inexpensive, useful and wonderful Lead-free things that I actually personally use and love*.) I bet that Oprah doesn’t personally use all of the things on her list (how could she?).
*Unlike most of the stupid spam “buying guides” that clog up our mailboxes, you will not find any needless/ pointless/ wasteful “disposable crap” items on my list!

The clip pictured here is one of my favorite things. I just recently bought 8 more because I use them for SO MANY THINGS around the house (& out in the world, includng camping!) They are not cheap (for a carabiner) but they are so much better than a lot of the truly astonishingly-poorly-made cheap ones out there – and I have a feeling they will last for a very long time! I searched your site and didn’t see listings for any carabiners that tested positive for lead. Is that a common finding for cheap carabiners? Thanks!
