When tested with an XRF instrument the Mikasa cup & saucer set pictured had the following readings:
#1.) On the platinum edging
- Lead (Pb): 15,500 +/- 300 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd): 40 +/- 8 ppm
- Antimony (Sb): 173 +/- 20 ppm
- Silver (Ag): 11 +/- 5 ppm
- Bismuth (Bi): 80 +/- 33 ppm
- Tin (Sn): 495 +/- 24 ppm
- Palladium (Pd): 104 +/- 8 ppm
- Gold (Au): 2,768 +/- 126 ppm
- Platinum (Pt): 248 +/- 83 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 5,191 +/- 152 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 2,101 +/- 152 ppm
- Indium (In): 42 +/- 11 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 198 +/- 63 ppm
#2.) On the white surface of the saucer
- Lead (Pb): 45 +/- 16 ppm
- Bismuth (Bi): 44 +/- 16 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 994 +/- 84 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 3,280 +/- 330 ppm
