In coloring the graph above I was looking for patterns… trying to figure out if April 2021 is destined to tank like April 2020 did (for LeadSafeMama.com).
If you are a regular reader you know that the reach and impact of the Lead Safe Mama website is critical to both spreading the word (about childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety) AND critical to maintaining the stability of the business model for Lead Safe Mama, LLC (making sure the costs of the work we do here are covered by income brought in by page views here on the website.)
In 2021 more than in previous years, we have the chance (for the first time, without the distractions of the legal battles of the past 5 years) to work towards sustainability for Lead Safe Mama – which means we’re working towards 600,000 page views each month (at which point the work of the Lead Safe Mama team will be 100% covering the costs of the business!) March and December of 2019 and January of 2020 each exceeded that goal and then things quickly went downhill when CoViD-19 related news took over the “interwebs”.
While there were some dismal months in 2020 (from so many perspectives) in recent months things here at LeadSafeMama.com have seemingly been on a trajectory of recovery! (check out the graph below) Each of the past five months (November and December of 2020 and January, February and March of 2021) has closed out with more than 250,000 unique page views (Yay! Moving in the right direction!).
Every day now my focus is to spend as much time as possible to come up with ideas for creative new ways to reach families with important information and answers to their questions (to help them protect their children from exposure to Lead in their homes an environment.) This past week I have been focusing on creating short YouTube videos with each answering a simple question about a specific product or issue – with six new videos created so far this week. If you have other ideas to help expand the reach and impact of this work during these trying times, please do let me know!
In the meantime – with 17 days left in the month there’s still a chance for April to follow the trend of the past 5 months (reaching 250,000 page views or more) and you can help make that happen with a simple action that doesn’t cost you a penny: please check out the new website category-based menu and share a Lead Safe Mama post or two on your social media channels today.
