Some good news for carnival glass fans!
When tested with an XRF instrument the vintage orange carnival glass (pressed glass) sauce boat pictured here had the following readings:
- Iron (Fe): 2,726 +/- 237 ppm
- No other metals detected on the food surface!
- Bottom of glass tested negative for all metals!
Thank you for reading and for sharing these posts. As always, please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them personally (as soon as I have a moment!)

This is the only example of carnival glass that I have ever tested.

May I mail you a piece of the blue?
Thank you for all you do. I removed all unsafe kitchenware (glasses, dishes, bakeware) all of it…this past February.

Hi there, I’m wondering about the blue irrelevant carnival glass safety. We have a bunch of the drinking glasses and drink out of them daily.
