1983 “Shafford Original” dual shell serving dish: 57,200 ppm Lead. 90 ppm & up is unsafe in items intended for use by kids.
When tested with an XRF instrument the dish pictured here had the following readings– 60-second test (food surface of the dish):
- Lead (Pb): 57,200 +/- 1,800 ppm
- Barium (Ba): 156 +/- 59 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 648 +/- 154 ppm
- No other metals detected in consumer goods mode.
- Multiple tests done to confirm the results
- Back side of the dish was positive for similar levels of Lead.
