Right now there are tons of front-page news articles about lead in the drinking water in daycares, schools, and homes in Canada. There was recently some testing done in many cities, and some of the levels are comparable to that of Flint, Michigan’s, reportedly. Might make for an interesting blog post! They are some of the most-read articles on various Canadian news sites for the past one or two days now.
Thank you for the work you are doing. We are a family with young children and my husband and I grew up drinking out of the hose and eating pop tarts for breakfast. We’re living with the repercussions of that so we started looking into whole, organic foods and paying attention to what we put in our bodies (and our kids’!). I frequently look to this site or the FB page to check in about products and to make safer choices, because honestly, that shouldn’t be something we have to do in 2026. Why are we consuming literal poison in our food and products? Yikes. Anyway, thank you for pointing to safer options and for exposing things that companies would otherwise like buried. Sometimes we still buy the toothpaste that has some lead or whatever because everything is expensive, but it’s good to make an INFORMED decision. So thank you.
