Ok I cave! [I was really trying not to participate in the shopping frenzy that is “Prime Day”!]
Below is my Amazon affiliate link to get an Instant Pot super cheap on Prime Day! Just $55.99 – as of the time I posted it — and it is among the lowest-Lead pressure cooker-type appliances that I have ever tested (with no Lead at all on the food-surface components!)
Because almost all currently manufactured heating elements for this type of appliance appear to have at least some Lead in them, Instant Pot appears to have gone to the extra step of both somehow minimizing that, and also coating the component with what appears to be a (gray colored) non-Lead enamel, so…kudos to them for those efforts!
If you don’t want to buy an Instant Pot but still want to support my work with your Prime Day shopping, just click through to start your shopping from the first image link (my affiliate link)* below and DON’T buy the Instant Pot, but continue your shopping from there and I still may get a percentage of what you spend at no extra cost to you!
You can check out my Instant Pot posts with the XRF readings (including a video) here on my blog [Link].
My husband and I got rid of the other pressure cookers we had been using in decades past (because they had several high-lead components – as have most pressure cookers I have tested) and got one of these for our family instead.
As always, thank you for reading and for sharing my posts!

Hello Tamara, and thank you for all of your work and info.
Is the 8 quart Instapot just as “safe” as the 6 quart?
Thank you!

Test results should be similar across the product line.
