When tested with an XRF instrument this thick silicone teal colored child’s cup (from Silikids) had the following readings:
(Testing done for 90 seconds, if a metal is not listed below it was not detected.)
- Lead (Pb): Non-Detect
- Mercury (Hg): Non-Detect
- Cadmium (Cd): Non-Detect
- Arsenic (As): Non-Detect
- Metals not listed were also not detected.
- Barium (Ba): 416 +/- 146 ppm
- Copper (Cu): 42 +/- 12 ppm

Is this considered a safe cup then for everyday use? I’m concerned about stainless steel cups and what they leach into water, is this a safe alternative?
