“Made In Italy” Clear Silicone NaturalFit Chicco Pacifier

When tested with an XRF instrument, this pacifier had the following readings. [Test was done for 120 seconds / 2-minutes.]
- Lead (Pb): Non-Detect
- Cadmium (Cd): Non-Detect
- Arsenic (As): Non-Detect
- Mercury (Hg): Non-Detect
- Barium (Ba): 992 +/- 156 ppm
- No other metals detected.
Note: Barium is often used as a component of colorants in glass, plastics and silicones. It is my understanding that Barium is considered to be wholly safe in this application and at these levels, however I would prefer to see pacifiers be completely free of any metals.
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away (when my kiddos were babies!) I chose to use clear silicone pacifiers with my children (the ones who would take pacifiers at least!)
If you have concerns about Barium or silicone, perhaps consider natural rubber options instead?
