I’m excited that language from one of my favorite books of all time has become part of the lexicon of our modern age. I think it is especially clever that Mayim Bialik adopted “Grok” for her new blog: GrokNation.com.
If you have not yet read “Stranger in A Strange Land“, please do (I also encouraged each of my sons to read it when they were old enough to understand it!)
Grok:
- 1960s: a word invented by Robert Heinlein (1907–88), American author.
- Meaning: Understand (something) intuitively or by empathy.
- Meaning: Empathize or communicate sympathetically; establish a rapport.
