This “Authentic Original” “Disney Parks” Disneyland Resort (c. 2017) Made In Thailand Mug tested positive for low lead (generally within a safe range for a mug) when tested with an XRF instrument.
The reading for the decorative elements on the outside
was 129 +/- 32 ppm Lead.
Consumer goods are considered unsafe for use by children if they test positive for lead levels at 90 ppm or higher in the glaze or coating. It could be argued that this mug is not expressly designed (or sized) for use by children, so the fact that the XRF reading is slightly higher than the standard allowed for children’s items is irrelevant (it would not be considered a CPSC violation).

can you tell me which store I can purchase this at specifically?
Tamara says
Disneyland. I would assume that it is likely that any Disneyland store would have lead-safe mugs (based on the testing I have done to date.)

Tamara,
I have learned so much from you/your website… Looking at items in my house now…
What about ceramic Disney mugs/Animated Classics, made in Thailand, snow white and the seven dwarfs-1937 mug?
Has a SOLID green color glazed ceramic inner/inside the cup. I have the whole set, little mermaid, snow white, beauty and the beast, 101 dalmatians, bought all new, each ceramic mug has a different color inside the mug, green, blue, pink, purple… my kids and nieces drank from them for years.
