Most modern toys that are manufactured as intended to be used by children should be lead-free. To find a modern toy that tests positive for any amount of lead is the exception, not the rule.
Have you considered purchasing vintage cellphone accessories like faceplates for old Nokia phones on eBay? The aftermarket ones with colourful graphics had me wondering if they’re in any way tainted with toxic paints and such.
