Today’s Influencer Exchange – Not An April Fool’s Joke

Today – April 1, 2026 – a Lead Safe Mama, LLC online community member tagged us in a post made by another Facebook account about flour. She tagged us specifically in a comment noting a concern for a particular flour product. The “influencer” who made the post then went on to write a very lengthy and patently false statement about the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC. (You can see that below.)

As we had been tagged on the post, I read the response comment made by the influencer and proceeded to respond with several comments explaining why the statements she had made about our work were false. You can read the full exchange below in the series of graphics with the blue background.

Ironically (amusingly enough!) this influencer alleged that we do not engage in conversation with others and that we block those with differing opinions — and then she went on to block us for attempting to correct the misinformation she was sharing (and my initial round of comments, before she blocked us were relatively civil – yet clearly calling out what was happening in the exchange).

After she blocked us without responding and without correcting her statement with misinformation we created the image series below to share the exchange on social media. I included a caption that was a bit less charitable (given how things progressed), and frank – as always. That caption is the black image with white text below.

She then responded by posting another post on her Facebook page (which I was able to find and comment on from my personal social media account, since she had blocked our business account), and that response from her (and my response to that) is in the graphics below with the red background.

While – every now and then – I find responding to the misinformation somewhat amusing (especially calling out people for gaslighting, for being influenced by industry, and for deflecting — for specifically behaving in the exact manner they are accusing us of), it is also tiresome. The initial comment with misinformation from this influencer (see slides 1, 2 and 3 with the blue background below) is exactly the type of nonsense false information that has specifically sprouted up in response to the smear campaign attempting to discredit me personally and discredit the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC.

This misinformation about our work – spreading across the internet – is an intended outcome of the smear campaign — with the intention of discrediting specifically designed to result in causing Lead Safe Mama,LLC financial harm so that we do not have the resources to continue our work. It is for this reason we need your support now more than ever.
