8 New Campaigns, Thanks to Our “Fast Pass” Challenge!

Hello all!
I hope those of you who celebrate are having a good New Year’s Celebration.
Before I became the mother of disabled / Lead-poisoned children I used to start a “Goal Book” each year at Rosh Hashanah. This book would cover my goals for all things – my life, my family, my home, my work, the impact I want to help make happen in the world (Tikkun Olam) and more. In it I would write my one-year goals, my five-year goals, my ten-year goals and my longer-term goals.
I would also use this Goal Book as a journal of sorts, to track highlights and accomplishments over the course of the year – including milestones for each of the kids (and to see if I was on track to meet my goals). I haven’t done this is so long (probably since the kids were poisoned, which was 20 years ago last month!) and I decided that now would be a good time to restart this tradition. Yesterday I bought a small-ish journal to start my Goal Book for 5786! The pages are still empty, but I expect to have a moment to start filling it in tomorrow.
If you don’t already do this, you might want to try it – it’s fun (and usually pretty motivating) to look back on everything that has happened at the end of the year. It’s also a good memento for your children and grandchildren to look at when you are no longer around! – and an excuse to take your eyes off of your computer for a little while each day – long enough to write a few words on paper at least.
Enough of the waxing sentimental for the Holiday! 🙂
THANK YOU!
I want to thank everyone who participated in our FAST PASS challenge earlier this month. This includes EIGHT people who each contributed $100 towards an open, not-yet-funded campaign and in thanks we launched a campaign for the product of their choice with a subsidized / reduced fundraising goal of just $395.oo (vs. our current fundraising goal for new campaigns of $495.oo per product). Thank you so much to all eight of you!
Through their contributions they brought SEVEN campaigns closer to funding, and TWO all the way across the finish line! We anticipate that we will be sending those two products to the lab for testing this week!
To see all EIGHT of the newly launched campaigns (and to contribute to one or more of those if you are so inclined), click here. These eight campaigns include diaper ointment, vitamins, skin cream, protein powder, lozenges, and more. This link also lists a lot of our open campaigns (not quite all of them yet, we are still working on that!), and also shows the two that funded through this initiative. We are also extending this “Fast Pass” challenge to the end of the month, in case anyone else is in a position to join the 8 friends who already participated. Details are also on this link.
Thank you to everyone who participated for your patience with me. We had a little glitch in the Matrix with my food-poisoning about a week ago, and it took a bit longer for us to launch the campaigns than anticipated.
In other news… Over the next couple of days we will be working on publishing at least seven more new lab reports as well, so please do stand by for those. These lab reports are always shared first on our Patreon channel (shortly after they are published), and that’s the best reason to stay an active member on the LSM Patreon channel!
Pending lab reports include: our first FISH product (sardines), an instant coffee, a calcium supplement, a matcha product, a popular / ubiquitous salt product, a couple of sunscreens, and more supplements and baby food pouches!
If you appreciate this work and are not yet a paid member on Patreon, please consider bumping up your membership with a gift of $2.00 or $3.00 a month or more. Our current average monthly gift is $2.69 each month, being gifted by 416 members (thank you to all of you!), contributing a combined total of $1,120 in support of this Laboratory Testing Initiative each month. Here’s the link to our Patreon Home Page in case you are in a position to bump up your membership today: http://www.patreon.com/LeadSafeMama
Thank you for supporting this work in all the ways!
