A picture I took in Scotland today… and a request.

Tuesday – November 29, 2022

Our mission is simple: to prevent childhood Lead-poisoning by educating consumers about the health hazards from exposure to Lead and other metallic toxicants, (including Cadmium, Mercury, Antimony, and Arsenic) in our modern environment.

In addition to advocacy and education, we search for the truth and we demand honesty and transparency from corporations: we conduct independent scientific testing and analysis of consumer goods (both modern and vintage) and publish the results on a free, searchable website (LeadSafeMama.com / TamaraRubin.com), so that anyone can find out what is actually inside the products we bring into our homes and make informed choices to best protect the health of our families – especially young children.

I took this photo today (above) and read the quote (while visiting this castle in Scotland) and the words resonated with me. Seven hundred years later here I am thinking… how can anyone truly have freedom in a world where corporations constantly lie and no one holds them accountable? We are oppressed by their lies and misrepresentations as their products poison our children.
