When tested with an XRF instrument the Keltcraft Noritake saucer shown here had the following readings:
60-second tests – Multiple tests were done on each component to confirm the readings
With XRF focused on the plain cream colored area in the center of the dish:
- Lead (Pb): 36,600 +/- 900 ppm
- Barium (Ba): 364 +/- 46 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 3,736 +/- 124 ppm
- Copper (Cu): 67 +/- 33 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 868 +/- 137 ppm
- Vanadium (V): 520 +/- 151 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 1,525 +/- 277 ppm
Red and blue decorative elements were each tested separately and had similar readings to plain cream colored areas.
With the XRF instrument focused on the green print on the back of the dish:
- Lead (Pb): 39,300 +/- 1,100 ppm
- Barium (Ba): 379 +/- 54 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 5,089 +/- 176 ppm
- Cobalt (Co): 159 +/- 79 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 1,063 +/- 164 ppm
- Vanadium (V): 594 +/- 156 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 1,661 +/- 283 ppm
