August 24, 2020 – Monday
Hi friends! There have really been too many amazing things to share with you this month, and I just have not had the time to write (because I have been on the road visiting with families of Lead-poisoned kids since August 3rd)! Here are a few highlights (which you can also see in the graphs on this post):
- This morning (sometime shortly before 11:00 a.m.) we passed 241,000 views for the month – vaulting August 2020 in to the spot of “5th Best Month Ever” on the blog (passing July of 2020, which closed out the month at 241,026 unique views – shown in above graph).
- August 2020 also just reached the status of “Best August Ever” – in terms of the number of unique site views this month! [As a point of comparison, August 2019 had “only” 208,449 unique page views.]
- BUT THERE’S MORE!…. August 2020 is not yet over – and if things keep going as they have been, we will likely close out the month of August with about 321,000 unique page views for the month. This would be amazing – and a huge step towards reaching the bigger goal of 600,000 unique views each month (a milestone that, when reached, will ensure that the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC is fully self-sustaining! See the graph from August 1st – below).

- On August 19 (just 5 days ago) the Lead Safe Mama blog passed 2,000,000 unique views for the year already — with over 800,000 unique readers this calendar year! Soon we will have more than 2.5 times the number of views that we had in 2018… and if the Fall and Winter continue as the past couple of months have, we may even recover enough [from the significant multi-month impact of “CoViD-19 taking over the news cycle” on our traffic] to meet or possibly exceed the 3.8 million views that we saw here in 2019! While 3,000,000+ views for the year is a far cry from the original projected anticipated growth to 7,000,000 unique views for 2020 (continuing the growth curve from previous years) – it’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

- Even if we don’t have a full recovery this year (if things just continue slowly improving, as they have over the past several months) we can anticipate the year to close out with more than 3,088,000 unique views here at LeadSafeMama.com

The images below show the recovery path since things tanked in late-March / early-April.
Views by week over the past several months through today:
As always, Thank You – for reading and for sharing my posts! Thank you for being part of this movement. These numbers represent our collective reach and impact — the readers that (together – with your help) we are reaching with our message – and with specific information and actions they can take towards protecting children everywhere from being poisoned by Lead in their homes, schools, communities, and environment.
