My eldest son came home last night! He’s here for a month and I’m so excited to have all of my kids together… and this time we’re all together for two months total (until the end of August!) with the first month here at home in Portland and the second month during a cross-country road-trip – headed to Boston to drop A.J. off at College. This is probably the first (and last) time anything like this will happen – with all four of my kids! Colescott turns 24 this month. A.J. turns 18 this month. Charlie turns 12 this month. Avi will be 15-1/2 on Colescott’s birthday. I hope you all are also having the opportunity to spend at least some time with family during this wild and unpredictable CoViD summer.

Thank you food fairy!
I also want to send a huge shout-out THANK YOU! to the food fairy! One of my readers has been having fresh veggies sent to our family every two weeks. Today this meant dinner included fresh roasted organic Brussel sprouts (roasted with coconut oil, garlic, onions, tamari and pumpkins seeds), sliced organic cucumbers with vinegar and dill, organic potatoes par-boiled and then roasted in avocado oil, and – for the main course – matzo ball soup with mushrooms, organic carrots, organic onions, garlic, parsley, and organic celery. This meal would not have been possible without her support (everything in bold and blue was in our produce box delivered tonight – plus a whole lot more!)
And to the rest of my readers…
Thank you all for being here and thank you for supporting my work. Thank you most of all for reading and sharing my posts. I couldn’t do what I do without YOU!

I’m so glad everything is going well. It’s a crazy time in the world right now.

Hi Brenda!
Thank you. It is a wild time. We’re doing our best and for us having all the boys together is a huge blessing. They get to play together and experience each other, which is especially beneficial for my 12 year old who has really missed my 24 year old (for the past 5 years that he has been away at college.) Hopefully this will give them a time to bond a bit.
Here’s a fun picture from the other day (in case you missed it!): https://tamararubin.com/2020/07/just-a-post-to-share-a-little-joy-today-this-is-my-four-sons-jumping-off-the-dock-this-afternoon-down-at-the-river-near-our-home/
