Duralex “Picardie Colors” Goblet / Tumbler, Violet, 8-3/4 ounces.
Made in France, purchased in December 2018.
When tested with an XRF instrument this pink Duralex glass had the following readings:
- Lead (Pb): Non-Detect (Negative)
- Mercury (Hg): Non-Detect (Negative)
- Cadmium (Cd): Non-Detect (Negative)
- Arsenic (As): Non-Detect (Negative)
- Vanadium (V): 101 +/- 25 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 175 +/- 35 ppm
Metals not listed were not detected. Tests are done for a minimum of 60 seconds. To learn more about XRF testing, click here.

I’ve read some poor reviews on these glasses as the colour is on the surface, not coloured glass. Apparently the colour comes off in the dishwasher and is easily scratched off. NOT BUYING.

That’s correct – the color appears to be a film of some kind and it does wear off on some of the colors (not all). The blue ones do not have a film – the color seems to be in the glass: aflink https://amzn.to/2X5qrvM
In any case – they are still lead-free (if not otherwise excellent!)
