Hi Tamara,
I have researched this Mikasa pattern and understood that it was lead free. Was this plate manufactured as late as
2018? I was prepared to purchase a set (my first), of this pretty dinnerware.
Thanks for the good work that you do.
Theresa
Hello- I just purchased this set (January 2023), and I see your lead readings here, but does this mean safe or not? Also, since it was from 2018, have they changed since then that you know of? I’m trying to work my way through your website and found it because I have a TON of vintage dishes and was curious if they were safe to use, and the answer is…I guess not! There is so much information here- it’s taking awhile to get through, because not only do you rate dishes but salt and Kitchen Aid!
Anyway, I purchased a set of new dishes (Mikasa French Countryside), and am not sure how to interpret this info. Any clarification would be helpful, because Mikasa website says they are safe. Thank you.
I would have liked to have known the answer to your question. I just purchased their cups and was told by their customer support that they are lead and cadium free and that they follow the prop 65 guidelines.
I have this set. Wedding China. 1991. Have hardly used it. Do I keep it?
Hi, I’ve had this set since 2019 and came across your site while I searched for new coffee mugs. I, too, have read that this set is allegedly lead free. I am confused and concerned by your findings.
