#LeadFree: New (2014) Duralex OvenChef Roaster

| | | | | | | | | | | | | |

This Duralex OvenChef clear glass rectangular roaster was shipped to me new in 2014 (sent to me for testing directly by the manufacturer).  It tested negative for lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic when tested with an XRF instrument. I love responsible companies who ship me stuff for testing directly!

Here is my Amazon affiliate link* to this exact roasting pan!

Would you like to see more test results like this? Please help me rent (or eventually buy!) an XRF instrument to continue this work. 1. I want to know what roasters I can use safely in the oven ,,,
I prefer stainless steel and with covers ,,,,

    1. Just stick with undecorated stainless. The most expensive brand you can afford is likely to be the highest quality as long as there are no decorative elements made of other materials (and no paint.)

  2. I love your blog. We are tossing lovely antique dishes due to the lead content.
I feel like we shouldn’t bring these to the thrift store either as we’d be poisoning others!

So, the great part is that we’re getting new Anchor Hocking and Sur La Table plain items to
enjoy the rest of our days. I wish everyone we know would do the same as this country
continues to poison their constituents–so sad.

Thank you for your great work and I’ll try to make sure your affiliations with purchases are
    recognized and sent your way.

  3. Thank you, Tamara, for the work you do to ensure the health and safety of us and our families. I’ve been throwing out vintage Pyrex bowls and even china. What about Pillivuyt bakeware and Pillivuyt dinner plates, as well as their coffee mugs? I love their items and I see they used to advertise lead & cadmium free. But I noticed they no longer make that statement! I have the bakeware & was planning to buy dinnerware. I will be so disappointed if they contain toxic lead or cadmium!
