  1. Hi! Just to clarify, this means other metals weren’t present either, correct? Thank you so much for leading the way!!

    Katy

  2. So are you saying the rest of their dishes are lead free as well or is this the only item tested? They do say on their site they are, but we know how that goes.

  3. same question as C-is all hf coors dishware lead and metal free? we were excited to find them and are hoping to replace all our old Corelle with them, thanks to your research !

    1. Hi EV, I really cannot say.

I have only tested a few examples. New ones seem to be Lead-free or Lead-safe. Older ones can be very high Lead.

  4. Thanks for quick reply! So how do we trust sites like Coors that say they are lead free AND meet strict California Prop rules?

    1. Hi there!
Have you recently testes any of Hf Coors dishes? I was hoping to find a lead and cadmium free set, but want to make sure it really is before purchasing? Thankyou so much in advance! Love your blog!!!

  5. Thank you so much for taking up these researches for a good cause. I would like to check if hf coors is just tested to be lead free, or tested for other heavy toxic metals like cadmium , arsenic etc

    1. When I tested this mug (many years ago!) I was only looking at Lead content – so I don’t have that information available. Sorry about that! I would expect it is similar to Fiesta – since (as I understand it) they are the same company. Here’s the Fiesta category – with both new and old examples: https://tamararubin.com/category/fiesta/

  6. Hi. Are vintage taylor mugs – brown on the outside – and inside glaze can be light blue, yellow, or white. Are these safe? from the 1950s

  7. Hi Tamara, thanks for your fantastic work in offering this site! I’ve been on the hunt for lead-free coffee mugs, but I unfortunately don’t love the idea of going with the tempered glass ones that your site recommends because there are quite a few reports of them breaking with hot liquids.

I’ve read a few positive reports of the HF Coors brand for being lead free (and their website states that their glazes are lead free, which is obviously key). I see that the specific HF Coors mug that you’ve tested on this page is no longer available on Amazon, so can you verify if the link below goes to the exact mug you tested? Thanks so much!

  8. Hi Tamara
Do you have an Amazon link for the HF coors mug that tested negative for lead? Would you feel safe drinking out of this brand now?

    Thanks!
    Holly

  9. Hi!

I saw the HF Coors website says that their products have ‘non detectable’ which surpasses FDA requirements. They also don’t have the Prop 65 as far as I am aware (correct me if I’m wrong). Does this mean that their white colored dishes would be even less lead than the white colored dishes from Corelle?

I wasn’t able to find much info on HF Coors on your site but from their site they seem to be even of a higher standard so I wanted to see what you thought too.

  10. Hello Tamara,
I would like to know the same thing about HF Coors – are their new products lead and cadmium free.
I have newer white Corelle that have splintered on the edges, so would like to replace all Corelle with something different.
I have used Corelle for 20+ years, but the quality over the last few years has declined.
I am looking for something that is safe and won’t have pieces of glass splintering. I wasn’t sure if porcelain would be a good choice.
    Thanks

    1. Hi Tamara,
After reading your website, my MIL and I have cleaned out our kitchens. We would also like to know if there is any update to verify HF Coors claims of lead and cadmium free dishware as their Matte White dinnerware appears to be a good alternative to glass or Corelle.
Thank you for the amazing information and all your work! We did take your recommendation for coffee mugs.

  11. Hi Tamara!
I don’t think the link is working for the HR coor led free mugs. Would you happen to have another recommendation for mugs and glasses?
    Lisa
