Hi All!
I’m creating this blog post more for me (as a reminder) than for you, but I thought some of you might appreciate the information I have found so far and others might be able to chime in with some new/ different / better ideas… so I am “putting it out there!”
As many of you may know, I have been working – on and off – on a book for quite some time (since 2007) and it seems like NOW (finally) the time is right to really jump in to making it real.
I started by looking up publishers – to see which outfit might be the best/ most reputable / most effective in marketing and also the most likely to offer an advance for a REALLY GOOD STORY! [With a few completed chapters submitted of course!]
Below is the list of publishers I came up with, please let me know if you have any other ideas or specific contact info for folks who work at these companies who I might be able to follow up with (to ask a few questions!)
I actually have several book ideas (at least three) and would love to run each of them by folks in the industry to see what the interest is. I spoke to a New York-based publisher years ago who was very interested in my story – and the story has gotten SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING since then!… that it seemed time to look again.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.
Tamara
