As promised – here are a couple of photos of my organic cotton Naturepedic face masks in action, as tie-dyed by my friend who owns the AMAZING business Slip Knot Tie Dyes. She does the most incredible work — each piece she dyes is a true work of art! Please check out her website (especially if you are in the market for a beautiful t-shirt or other tie-dyed garment! If you have the means, please do consider buying something from her to support her small business during this pandemic. [I met her years ago through the Phish community!] Thank you.
Also – some thoughts on the Naturepedic masks:
Now that we are many moons into the pandemic – and now that my family has had the chance to try these and many other masks – I will say the following: my boys LOVE their Naturepedic face masks! These are among their favorite masks [along with some that were custom-made by a friend just for us!]
- My boys are BIG [my 12-year-old is 5 ft 10 inches tall!] As a result, they also have big, grownup faces… and the size of the Naturepedic masks works really well for them (they are “just right” after some minor shrinking in the first wash). I do understand that everyone is different – and not everyone needs a “grownup-size” mask, and they may not be the right size for you or your kiddo, [my husband’s favorite mask is a smaller one with funny “accordion” (gathered) head straps, as he has a smaller head than all of us — and is very “particular” [he “doesn’t like any mask that has ear loops”!] — but so far, both my boys and I prefer these masks
- Not only is the size right, but knowing they are washable — and organic cotton is great, too (some of the other masks – especially those made of synthetics – make my face overheat and make my son Charlie break out in pimples in the full area under his masks – when he never really had pimples there before!)
As always, thank you for reading and for sharing my posts. Please let me know if you have any questions!
