When tested with an XRF instrument this David’s Tea Mug (sent to me from a reader in Canada in 2019) had the following readings:
On the exterior (Lavender colored) glazed surface of the mug
(30 second reading):
- Lead (Pb): 48 +/- 21 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd): 86 +/- 16 ppm
- Mercury (Hg): Non-Detect / Negative
- Barium (Ba): 2,386 +/- 167 ppm
- Chromium (Cr): Non-Detect / Negative
- Antimony (Sb): Non-Detect / Negative
- Selenium (Se): Non-Detect / Negative
On the interior (white colored) glazed surface of the mug
(30 second reading):
- Lead (Pb): 453 +/- 35 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd): Non-Detect / Negative
- Mercury (Hg): Non-Detect / Negative
- Barium (Ba): 597 +/- 65 ppm
- Chromium (Cr): Non-Detect / Negative
- Antimony (Sb): Non-Detect / Negative
- Selenium (Se): Non-Detect / Negative
