Red Enamel Le Creuset Tea Kettle (tested in 2014): 11, 900 ppm Cadmium + 103 ppm Lead

When tested with an XRF instrument this Le Creuset teapot (tested in 2014) had the following readings:

  • Red Enameled Outside: 11,900 ppm Cadmium
  • Inside of the lid of the teapot: 103 ppm Lead

    Is positive lead testing typical of enamel ware?
